Dairy Farmers of PEI Announce Partnership with 2023 Canada Games

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island — The Dairy Farmers of Prince Edward Island are proud to announce a partnership with the 2023 Canada Winter Games Host Society in the form of sponsorship for the momentous event for the province.

The announcement was made during a reception at the Rodd Charlottetown where Host Society representatives shared a planning update and thanked both current and new sponsors for their support and ongoing enthusiasm for the upcoming Games. Dairy Farmers of PEI joined a number of sponsors that included Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL), Maritime Electric, Coach Atlantic Maritime Bus, and Grant Thornton.

“The momentum continues to build as companies from across Atlantic Canada are stepping up to show their support for the 2023 Games,” said Jonathan Ross, VP, Sponsorship & Revenue Generation, 2023 Canada Games Host Society in a statement regarding the Games' newest sponsors. “Our Games represent a unique opportunity for the business community to tap into the spirit of Canadian sport and showcase their brands on a national stage. We’d like to thank Grant Thornton, Maritime Electric, Coach Atlantic Maritime Bus, and Dairy Farmers of PEI for their commitment to giving back and supporting the Canada Games movement.”

It is established under the Natural Products Marketing Act to regulate and administer the dairy industry in Prince Edward Island. From February 18 – March 5, 2023, the Games will bring together 3,600 athletes, managers, and coaches, across 20 different sports, for the largest multi-sport event in the country. With a forecasted economic impact of over $100 million, the 29th edition of the Canada Games will be the largest event hosted in Prince Edward Island’s history.
